The Secret South American Superfood that South American Women have sworn by for centuries.
Yerba Mate is not new to the scene. It has a rich history and dozens of research studies have been done to discover all the health benefits it has. The most magical thing about yerba mate is how it can be enjoyed. While you can use tea bags, an even better way is to do the ritual itself with a gourd and bombilla. Taking those extra two minutes to do this will add mindfulness, stillness and clarity to your day.
Turmeric is an incredibly powerful herb, and there have been hundreds of studies done on it. It is so powerful in fact that now the medical community is on board with it and touting its effects. But did you know the most products sold with turmeric are basically useless? That is because not only are they not organic, but they do not contain a substance called pepperine. Pepperine is what activates the herb and makes it bioavailable. That means, the body can not use turmeric in its form unless it also has Pepperine alongside it. Isn't that fascinating? Pepperine is the herb that unlocks the door to Turmeric. So make sure that any kind of turmeric you are buying, also has pepperine with it, like BALANCE blend.
Identify the sensitivity and stop taking medication. Learn about the messages your body is sending. A good way to do that is to journal. But this is different than what other nutritional counselors have you do. Mostly, food journals consist of writing down the food you eat along with the time of day. But, in doing that, you are missing the most important part.... the reaction you're having!
To get the weight off after the birth, I doubled up on my yerba. I had it in the morning and then in the afternoons in between breastfeeding. In a couple of months, my body was not just at a normal weight, but actually, I was thinner than my pre-pregnancy weight. I attribute that to the amazing appetite suppressing benefits of the yerba.
Here are my before and afters
Most of us are in a food rut. We want to eat healthily, we want to have delicious yummy meals, but we don't want to spend a ton of time in the kitchen. If cooking is a chore the less likely you're going to go into the kitchen. So, what happens? Pizza! Chinese food! Fast Food! And really, that might be fine every now and then, but when that becomes a daily habit, you're going to have some health issues.
Here are some delicious staple meals that I make and hopefully you will be able to add some of these suggestions into your repertoire. Hopefully, these ideas will make things easier on you.
Having a bloated belly is uncomfortable and sometimes even painful. Most of the time, it has nothing to do with weight or even exercise. It could be caused by what you are eating.
